Counting Back From Nine-Theme

Theme

The themes of Counting Back From Nine were romance, coming of age and forgiveness. I found that these three themes worked really well together and positively benefited each other. In particular, the story followed the plot of the main character falling in love and then having her heart broken. This event then caused the character to come of age and mature. As well, as the characters began to come of age they began to learn to forgive others for their mistakes. These three themes intertwined together to make an extremely strong main theme that the book surrounded. The strong theme was very beneficial to the story and gave the book a great development between the beginning and the end.
